Free Flow chemistry meets the need s of the recycle industry with inexpensive blends and low dosages to effectively treat various RCRA metals in a large array of electronics , batteries, auto waste, wire chopping, glass, and various scrap metals.
Typically the materials generate a waste material in the recycle process and Free Flow is able to apply low dosages of reagent for safe disposal. For example shredder fluff from auto recycler has low levels of lead leaching out and with a 1 % dose of Free Flow the lead was rendered in soluble. The results in a leaching test demonstrate the lead is non detectable and safe for disposal at a landfill.
Free Flow also provides turnkey systems for RCRA metals applications and with the necessary feeder system we can provide a custom blend when required for difficult metal scenarios.
The chart below indicates some of the waste matrixes free low has worked in for the recycle industry.
Matrix | Untreated Pb (mg/L) | Treated Pb (mg/L) | Dosage (%) |
Batteries | 287 | < 0.13 | 6% |
Glass | 260 | 0.13 | 4% |
Shredder fluff | 7 | < 0.13 | 1% |
Electronics | 26 | < 0.13 | 4% |
For every situation there is a solution in metals treatment.
